Weekly Guided Reading - April 20th-26th 2015

Hello Beautiful Souls, this is your WEEKLY GUIDED READING inspired by MOTHER MARY

>> Click Here to watch <<

Integrity

Trusting in what is right for yourself is the message for this week guided by the Mother energy that shifts us through Aries into Taurus. By honoring yourself and grounding others to live in their honesty, your energy and the support of others will align to create authentic attitudes, behaviors and practices that will bring you personal power and aid in empowering those around you.

It is time to speak up, show courage in your convictions and act through the discomfort that you are being called to address. Stand your ground, and speak from your heart. You are guided to be a messenger of truth.

Compassion and Devotion

Commitment to developing and exploring your beliefs through ritual and nourishing practice is your devotion this week.

This is your time of healing, and helping Gaia as you become aware of your the areas you need to call into question. The focus is on you and having the compassion, gentleness, willingness to listen and to work with the spirit that vibrates inside you. Be devoted to the understanding of your reactions to situations around you this week, and what they leave behind in your energy body.

Give yourself time in sacred space, or create spaces that hold the energy of devotion, allow no negative or self deprecation to fill your cup. Clear those parts of you that wants to cling to secrets and separation.

This is a time of forgiveness, acceptance, allowance and the beautiful dance of love and movement. To begin, ask yourself this question, and take an action step through a willingness to feel, and experience what is important to you and why it is integral to realign yourself with your personal integrity.

WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU RIGHT NOW?

Quote Reflection & Journaling

This week’s Quote reflection comes from a current Fiction read: The Ancient Future by Traci Harding.

“That be where the human race keeps failing. People keep turning to these religions, when all they really need, be to love, know and believe in themselves” –pg 207 – The Ancient Future.

*

How much do you rely on your spirituality to encourage love, knowledge and belief in your own power?

If you took your religion or practice away how would you relate to yourself and the world at large and communicate?

How would you express yourself?

Do you believe you have the ability to step outside of religion and discover yourself?

Write about this for fifteen minutes – then create a short story, poem, or even a blog post about your experience through this writing prompt.

*

JOURNALING QUESTIONS

·      What will support you this week in standing in your convictions?

·      How do you deal with people who want you to step outside of your integrity?

·       Where can you see that someone else may not be honoring themselves? Go back and see where you both mirror each other.

·      What words are empowering to you and make you feel in alignment with your own integrity?

Have a Blessed Week Lovelies – xx Blair

Weekly Guided Reading & Quote Reflections - April 13th-18th 2015

Hello Lovelies, this is your weekly guided reading using the Animal Spirit Knowledge Cards – Paintings by Susan Seddon Boulet

Fox

Think of yourself as fantastic Mr. Fox this week, intelligent, vigilant, courageous and curious. As we connect to the masculine energy of this majestic and cunning spirit we also connect with our blood, and life force, the energy that is created within us, and spun around us to create change. Proud, spirited, and respected for their magic and sexual power, the fox is calling you to look at your own power in terms of your sexuality, your harnessing of magic and manifestation. A mediator between the human and spiritual world, the Fox connects us with our inner maiden and sage to bring us into the next elevation of creative energy.

Polar Bear

Living and hunting in the depths of our coldness is important, it helps balance out the heat and warmth and makes up two parts of the one heart that works in symbiosis with its environment. The Polar bear speaks of similar environmental consciousness, and brings us to look at our Tribe and the part we play in it. Leadership, peace, protection and great wisdom passed down and through the collected numbers, is encouraged this week. If you see someone who needs assistance, or mediation step in with love, compassion and a sense of working with that person to support their growth individually, as well as collectively for the harmony of your Tribe and its needs. Forming or joining a community that holds you sacred and welcomes you to connect as a Tribe will be important this week for your sense of connectedness, and further deepening of your spirit. The Polar Bears message is; one and all we are together.

Rabbit

Full of energy, and able to change her perception to better understand her surroundings, the Rabbit this week brings forth a message of love from the Mother who is now seeing you off on your Hero’s Journey. You have come full circle with a grieving cycle and are ready now to step into a new adventure with the energy of the rabbit’s power, abundance, heroism and confidence. Connecting in meditation with the sun, the sky and its warm energy alongside the prosperous omen of the Rabbit will bring forth fresh insight and radiant divine connection that is needed alongside your meeting with the Fox and the polar Bear.

JOURNALING QUESTIONS

Who in your Tribe needs assistance and support? Is it you?
How do you define your sexuality? Are you comfortable within your power or are you struggling with it and why?
What new endeavor or adventure has you curious to take the first step?
Where do you think you are on your Quest in life? Are you at the beginning, middle or coming to the end of an adventure? Write about your life, dreams and what you have learned along the way from in yourself and from others.

I want to introduce you to a new segment in my Weekly Guided Readings; Quote reflections. This will take place of my weekly recommendations and can act as a companion for journaling or meditation. Alongside it I will offer one prompt that can be taken from a Non-Fiction or Fictional perspective. I encourage you to dabble with both forms of expression.

This week’s Quote comes from a fantastic book I started reading this week called: Inner Work – Using Dreams and Active Imagination for Personal Growth by Robert A. Johnson.

The Unconscious is a marvelous universe for the unseen energies, forces, forms of intelligence- even distinct personalities – that live within us. It is a much larger realm than most of us realize, one that has a complete life of its own running parallel to the ordinary life we live day to day – (Page 3 – Robert A. Johnson -  Inner Work – Using Dreams and Active Imagination for Personal Growth)

*

 PROMPT

Look within, conjure up an image of your own life, what would it look like in a parallel reality to the one we currently live? Spend 15 minutes brainstorming what this would look like to you – then take your writing and turn it into a short form of fiction – a start to a story, a poem, or a creative memoir.

Hope you have a fantastic week lovelies.

When to Intervene With Your Client’s Personal Life

QUESTION: I have a Client who has paid for or booked a Mentoring Session/ Reading with me. When we started they began to tell me about their current situation and it involved depression, self-harm, harm of others or other forms of direct abuse. What do I need to do, and how can I intervene and manage the session so that I am abiding by my ethics and maintaining the safety of my client?

Disclaimer: These are my options, and my approach as a Practioner of Tarot, Shadow Mentoring and Divination healing. I always like to set up a short introductory assessment for all my Mentoring clients to ensure they feel they are in the right mental and physical health and space to be able to fully engage in the sessions and or readings.

I need your help.”
There is a number of ways you can take the request. In this post we are going to look at a scenario where a client has asked us to take part in a session that requires more assistance and support then we can offer, and how to go about determining whether the session can continue, how to handle the let down and where to go from there professionally.
It is no surprise that when it comes to determining whether your client wants your support or to be rescued it’s not always black and white, there are always going to be shades of grey and splashes of color in between. They gray areas may be fuzzy depending on the person, especially if they are a regular client or work in your close network tree.
You may feel the empathetic tug when someone comes to you seeking your guidance, and instead brings you into the victim stories. Often these are the clients that need more than the resources you can ethically offer. After all, when supporting someone on their path you want them to be empowered and for them to take responsibility for the part that they play in their own lives.

How do you do that when you are unsure whether they are seeking validation, clarification or supposition?

How can you feel into the real truth of what they are asking, needing, or their overall intent?

When do you know if their issues are heart centered or dangerous?

When do you cease being a Mentor or practioner, and become a confidant into something that is deeply personal and could harm your client or other people?

You want to support them, give them the guidance that they seek while maintaining your ethics, and business practice.
Your First call of action is to use your common sense. Go into your own body, center yourself, and then reach out into the energetic field of your client. You can do this verbally as well, calling upon the universe to ground you both, or you might even take your client into meditation while you work on processing their question and needs.
You want to make sure your own protective shield is active and supported, so that you can feel the energy of your client, but you do not draw low vibration or negative energy into yourself.
This is where you work through the question asked. If it was as vague as “I need your help”, ask for more clarity in the area they need help with, go deeper with the questions. This is a time to also draw on your strong foundations and healthy boundaries that comprise of your ethics, skills, resources and guidelines of practice.
Say your client comes to you and asks you one of these two things [This is an example]

“I need help with a banishing ritual to get rid of my Ex- Boyfriend/Girlfriend.”

Or

I really need your guidance and help to get stop my Boyfriend from abusing me and others. What should I do?

Both of these are serious requests, and look similar in the way they are both reliant on you giving them the validation, confirmation or power they need to step up to their own life path.
You might accept their request to aid them with a banishing spell because you have had experience with it yourself, and to do so would be in alignment with your ethics. Remembering you don’t want to just give them the answer. Mentoring, Shadow Work and Readings are always about pulling your client back into the driver’s seat, not giving them the answers to life’s overarching quizzes.
With the second request this is where you would need to take a breath, a few deep breaths, and question where you can intervene. You have stepped outside the lines of comfort, and if you choose to continue your service while remaining conscious of your clients issues you are about to abuse your position, and possibly compromise your clients mental and physical well being by offering a service that you are not qualified to assist with [unless of course you are trained as a professional in the mental health or authorities department.] You are participating in third party engagements by proxy. You know that this request is now something that cannot be ignored as it affects your client and others, and your client has made the decision for you to bring to the table private details about this third, or even fourth parties behavior.
You may have a multitude of ways you can respond, from experience, or by using advice you have heard or been given yourself in diverse situations revolving around abuse.
Your own opinions and desire to take away the suffering, or to enlighten them with suggestions on how to walk a healthy path will come to the surface. How could they not? We have all been there at some part in our lives, on our paths.
You could be five minutes into the reading or thirty, the time doesn’t matter. This is where I would call to attention that I cannot offer the support that they need, and either lead them towards support that I was educated and aware of that could, or refund their money and let them know that the avenue they are requesting guidance from is not suitable for their direct needs.

They paid me for a service and I cannot give it to them? What about the time that I invested in the reading?

The simple reality for me as a Mentor/Reader is that I do not feel obligated to accept their money if I have not been able to provide them with a stable service. Keeping in mind I am conscious of the client coming into the session, their strengths and weaknesses and the areas they want to work on. Make note that this is different to when a Client is not engaged or dissatisfied with a reading, and usually it does not get past the five or ten minute marker for me to have invested to much of my resources.
Be strong, say no. There is bound to be frustration and anger, or the client may feel duped or unsatisfied, the harshness of reality and also the blessing is that you are allowing them to have power over their situation.

What if I can see that a Client is injured or shows signs of fear of disassociation?

Accept that this is part and parcel with your healing work and it can happen.
Simply help to center them for a moment and then lead them into the direction of a number they can contact or service they can investigate. [It helps to have these on hand even as a Tarot reader]
The same can be said for self harm, depression, suicidal confessions or behavior, whatever the disconnection, or injury. It is paramount that you are clear of what your own boundaries are. When you are, you allow yourself the resources to actually give to your client.
Their work is a deeper seated than Shadow work [which should always be explored with full mental consciousness to the practice – Physically and mentally]
Be kind, compassionate and assertive. Remember that while it may frustrate you, you have the power to assist by not making their decisions for them. People living in fear often reach out to the most unlikely places due to desperation, or a need for a different avenue or perspective.
Supporting a Client is always a two sided experience. You want your client to be consciously participating alongside you, even if they only ask questions and comment on the resonance of your cards.

QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER

How could you handle a situation like this one? Would you intervene?

What are your ethics around low vibration requests and Client harm?

Weekly Guided Tarot Reading - April 6th-12th 2015

Here is your guided insight into what energies you can tap into this week to live your Authentic Bliss.

Seven of Swords- Patience and Planning – Going inwards to do outwards

At the start of the week, feeling the drive to put plans into action will be high. The need to go inwards to sift through and flesh out the intellectual work that is needed to be done to make our plans solid is what is calling first, though. This is where you get to look at what you can truly handle, and choose how you want to work with what you have, and where you may need to delegate to others at a later date
You are on a quest for self transformation, and a higher purpose that relies on your physical ability to create it and bring it into being. You need to better understand your motives and reasoning, and this is a fantastic time to introspect rather than act impulsively. Have the courage to balance the drive for movement, and the first step of going inwards to do so.
Take care of yourself this week. In the past few weeks you may have seen in a lapse in your movement, and energy/food consumption due to the turbulent energies that are now coming to us, and have been building up through the eclipses. Come back to the self, and congratulate yourself for any partial successes, however small they may have been and know that by addressing your needs and wants, you will have a firmer handle on what it is that you can do to continue on journey in a healthy light.

Eight of Cups- Going Rogue – Emotional Withdrawal

Drawing on the guidance from the overarching monthly forecast of energies, we are pulled in to emphasis of “making time for me”. Going your own way or disconnecting to go inwards is how you will begin to integrate what you are learning about your spiritual practices and beliefs into action. Leaving behind controversial or conventional ideas about what that means for you, you begin to rewrite what sacred space is calling you towards and offering.
This is a time of imbalance, charge, change and re-establishing harmony. It is time for you to become the teacher, and the mentor of yourself. This is a great time to study, read, watch inspirational videos, and re-read any works that have inspired you in the past to draw inspiration and fresh perspective from. We need to withdraw emotionally at this period in time so that we can be the facilitators of our own movement forward, our introspection, and to delve into the shadow landscape to see what needs to be brought to the surface to make swift moves after we come out of the week of withdrawal; in the direction of our authentic alignment.
You may feel the imbalance of temptation and overstimulation. The simplest way to check in with yourself is take yourself out of a situation where excess has come into your awareness and look at why you feel the desire to participate in it.

Seven of wands – Standing your Ground – Strength in your convictions

Be prepared for conflict this coming weekend. In the past you have learned the hard way, ignoring the red flags as they come to you in light of obligation. Understanding that not everyone is on the same path as you will be paramount, and leave wriggle room to change plans and be flexible.
This is where you need to look at where you take and give power, and where it is taken from and given to you. Remain vigilant, and firm in your convictions. Stand your ground, especially in times of withdrawal where the judgments of others may sway you to end it abruptly. Seek cooperation in any situation rather than completion, even when you feel the pull to be a part of it. The insight being offered is that by working with your throat chakra and solar plexus to open up the energy to being receptive, rather than passive you will be raising your own vibrations, and speaking your truth, and there will be no need to feed into the energy and friction of competition.
Establishing the real work from the drama will be your first step in raising the unconscious to the surface. This is a time of refinement and adjustment, and that may mean questioning the roles we play in lives and that of others. Have fun playing around the way that they look to you and your beliefs around those roles. Question them. You are in a safe and guided place this weekend to do so. Your self-awareness is changing at a rapid rate, and this is a time to clearly define your position, and be willing to question all positions. You have the power to find out what you believe in, and don’t be afraid that when confronted with your fears and desires, to be firm in what you truly to believe aligns within you to your authenticity.

I wanted to share something a little different this week and recommend one of my favorite Albums: The Killers- Day & Age. Each time I listen to it, I find more hidden gems, lyrics about space and the cosmos, devotion to higher consciousness,  life, love, embracing being yourself, and spirituality. Every time I listen to it I am left with questions I can take into my own practice and sacred space. I am looking forward to bringing it more into my writing, and spiritual path. Some of my favorites are Human, Spaceman, The World We Live In and Joy Ride.

I am excited to have released my introduction into my Dreamers Den page on the blog. Here you I answer some common questions about dream interpretation, tools you can use and will find my tips to interpreting dreams, ways to integrate it into your practice, and a taste for my upcoming series; Dream Den Healing.

I am currently working on a project that explores Shadow Work at the root of what it is, and what it can do for us as evolving beings. I was sent a link, timely in fact as I was starting to work on the work myself, to this video where Teal Swan shares her thoughts about what Shadow work is. I love gaining perspective into the similarities and differences in what Shadow work at its root is, and what it can be used for. I think this is a great place to begin your work if you are curious. Keeping an open mind that Teal is only sharing her perspective and that there are many fantastic resources out there to continue your search inwards.
